Minibeast mania begins!

Greetings Platypuses!

Welcome back! It has been so lovely to be back with all of you and to start our new topic…minibeasts

Which minibeasts can you name?

What facts do you know about them?

Remember facts are things that we know are definitely true and have not been made up.

What minibeast facts would you like to learn next?

See what minibeasts you can create using the game below 🙂

In maths we have been working hard on our doubling and halving and practising using numberlines and writing number sentences.

What is double 2? Double 3? Double 4? Double 5? Double 6? Double 7? Double 8? Double 9? Double 10?

If I halved a cake how many slices would each person have?

If I had 6 apples and I halved them how many would I get?

On Tuesday the whole school has Maths Open Morning – we invite you to come and spend time with your child doing lots of super maths activities from 9-10am. We have lots of fun activities planned and would love to see as many Platypus adults there as possible 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of exploring, reading, writing, sleeping, eating, singing, dancing, playing, talking, homework, Mathletics and of course don’t forget to comment on the blog!

It will be Yellow Team‘s turn for Show and Tell on Tuesday. Please only bring in toys when it is your colour team’s turn for Show and Tell as they can easily get lost 😦

There is no homework this week.

Please wear your PE kit on Monday and make sure all your belongings (school uniform, PE kit, book bag etc.) have your name in/on them.

I look forward to seeing you again on Monday! 🙂

Love,

Miss Linsley x
